Jay Prosser has been in the healthcare industry for over 15 years. He began his career as an associate degree prepared nurse and has worked as a critical care nurse, emergency department nurse, practice administrator and nurse manager. Currently, he is the Coronary Care Unit Manger at Brookwood Baptist Health.

Nurses are working in increasingly difficult scenarios and challenging work environments. It is essential that we advocate for the profession of nursing to ensure that nurses are equipped to provide the highest level of care within the best possible environments.

Jay is a summa cum laude graduate of the University of North Alabama where he received his Bachelor of Science in Nursing and his Master of Science in Nursing with a focus in Nursing Leadership. He is a member of Phi Kappa Phi, a member of the American Association of Critical Care Nurses, recipient of the Florence Nightingale award, and recipient of the Outstanding Academic Achievement Award from UNA.
