Nurses across Alabama work hard every day to keep people as safe and as healthy as possible. They are loyal advocates for their patients, expert and efficient multitaskers, and compassionate caregivers to family and friends. As the COVID-19 pandemic continues, everyday nurses with these remarkable qualities continue to hold our communities together.
So as a way of acknowledging these heroes, we wanted to extend notes of gratitude to them through thank you messages from their peers, colleagues, and loved ones.
From: Travestine Wright
An enormous note of gratitude is extended to all of my nursing colleagues for your tireless, committed service. Your relentless efforts had not gone unnoticed not unappreciated but us all. Thank You is not enough but please accept with the sincerity with which it was written. Thank You!!!!!
From: Sarah W Logan Rn, MSN, CRNP
I want to express my sincere appreciation for the selfless job that you have done, especially, in the past year as the pandemic took hold. You all have worked hours of overtime in sweltering PPE or even worse inadequate amounts of PPE. The patients have been so sick and the life and death decisions you have had to make have been excruciating! The emotional toll these conditions have incurred will be difficult to deal with. Never have I been so proud to be a nurse. It has been difficult to know what my comrades are doing and not being able to help out! May God bless you and the world never forget the job you have done!
